No more stuffiness!!
OMG, I can’t believe that I didn’t go to the formal dinner tonight. Part of me is shocked and the other part, glad. Most of it, I think, is because I just didn’t feel like playing "show and tell" tonight with a bunch of strangers and maybe I’m being anti~social? Not!
I enjoy dining with people I care about or people I at least know. So ended up going to Emily’s Cafe and had shrimp, veggies, salad and a few potatoes....then a diet pear treat which was pretty good actually, especially being that it was diet.
I am looking forward to Venice ~ the Italians also call it Veneto...Walkway, which Venice is....no real cars allowed is what I understand...haven’t been there in over 27 years! This is one of the reasons that I booked this cruise, because of the destination. I also booked it because I wanted to go to the Amalfi Coast, which was yesterday. Finally, it also includes Cannes, France and Sicily, which I’ve always wanted to go to.
I’m cracking up about a Palermo joke that I know, but can’t even talk about it unfortunately. It’s a bit too personal.....
Just hanging in my cabin right now, listening to people walking by and being social and this is one of the reasons I’m also here....not to be antisocial, but really to take care of the kid Todd inside....which means not doing stuff I don’t want or feel like.....not even because I "have to".
Sent some emailed pics to my family tonight and hope that they got them ok and that they downloaded ok....one of them already wrote back, so guess they did. I included one of me in Positano ~ which I’m still overcome by it’s beauty. Another of Piazza Navona in Rome, another of the hotel room that I stayed in in Rome and also some pics of my luxurious cabin that I lucked out on getting here onboard.
It’s really, really nice and spacious enough for one person, no problemo. Well, I’m kinda slow, or tired....it was a long day, and my stomach got some sunburn from the sun today. Facial color is a bit darker, don’t think I’ll peel or anything like that.
I’m wondering how things are going in California?
