reminiscing...remember when?
The Gift
this is so nice and a great refresher...Thanks J!!
The other day a young person asked me how I felt about being old. I wastaken aback, for I do not think of myself as old. Upon seeing my reaction, he was immediately embarrassed, but Iexplained that it was an interesting question, and I would ponder it,and let him know.Growing Older, I decided, is a gift. I am now, probably for the firsttime in my life, the person I have always wanted to be. Oh, not my body. I sometime despair over my body .. the wrinkles, thebaggy eyes, and the cellulite. And often I am taken aback by that oldperson that lives in my mirror, but I don"t agonize over those thingsfor long. I would never trade my amazing friends, my wonderful life, my lovingfamily for less gray hair or a flatter belly. As I've aged, I've become more kind to myself, and less critical ofmyself.I've become my own friend. I don't chide myself for eating that extracookie, or for not making my bed, or for buying that silly cement geckothat I didn't need, but looks so av ante garde on my patio.I am entitled to be messy, to be extravagant, to smell the flowers.I have seen too many dear friends leave this world too soon before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.Whose business is it if I choose to read or play on the computer until4 a.m. and then sleep until ?? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 50's 60's,and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love. I will walk the beach in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulgingbody, and will dive into the waves with abandon if I choose to, despitethe pitying glances from the bikini set, (they, too, will get old ifthey're lucky).I know I am sometimes forgetful. But then again, some of life is justas well forgotten and I eventually remember the important things.Sure, over the years my heart has been broken. How can your heart notbreak when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even whena beloved pet gets hit by a car. But broken hearts are what give us strength and understanding andcompassion. A heart never broken is pristine and sterile and will neverknow the joy of being imperfect.I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turn gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves onmy face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their haircould turn silver.I can say "no" and mean it. I can say "yes" and mean it. As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong. So, to answer your question, I like being older. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will notwaste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be.And I shall eat dessert every single day... if I want.Today, I wish you a day of ordinary miracles.Love simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Leave therest to God.

Easy....St. Patty's Day Pins
Hi There!!
Hope you're enjoying your Friday so far....I've had another busy day, which I'm thankful for. Sometimes, it's just nice to be busy....so you don't have to sit still and ponder certain dramas that are going on around you.....actually, today, of all the days, I'm feeling much better than I have all week.
This week has flown by....How is your week going??? Write me when you can to let me know how you're doing.
I had a great breakthrough this morning after my meeting....was feelin' a bit on the edge and giving people a bit of a hard time (in a joking way, mind you) this am at my Broker/Caravan WEREP meeting, when low and behold...I received a telephone call from a Realtor who was calling to apologize for not getting back with me about something....didn't even realize, but for some reason, had been upset because this person joked about it this morning and I guess once they got back to their office and received my message (from yesterday), they called....and Toddy feels SO MUCH BETTER!! It's nice when people understand you....feels good to me.
Funny how the little things in life, can make such a big difference!
I just logged on and found a simple (and sinfully easy) way to make yourself a St. Patty's Day pin for tonight's festivities....WEREP is hosting a huge party for Saint Patrick's Day and over 170 people have purchased tickets....anyway, here is the link: GO MARTHA!!
http://food.yahoo.com/articles/martha-stewart/channel3080033/how-to-make-st-patrick-s-day-pins
I am expecting a telephone call right now to update my website and looking forward to doing it with this consultant....it's an annual update.....who doesn't love those?!!
Enjoy the rest of your day at work....
My Best,
Todd

Professional Staging...

Managed to squeeze in a meeting with my longtime friend, Cyndee Paulus....I didn't realize we'd known each other 15+ years!! WOW, TIME FLIES AND YES, LIFE IS SHORT.
Cyndee recently retired from working in the resale business of selling new homes (maybe some resale) for Standard Pacific.
She is currently working in her own company. Residential 911 offers professional staging for listings that are hard to sell.....
Cyndee will be part of my team of professionals hired to assist me in preparing my listings to sell quickly and helping my sellers net a higher bottomline.....Thanks for the iced coffee, Cyndee and most of all for your time and the chat.......!!!!
Here, I introduce you to, a legend in her own time, Cyndee Paulus.

I asked for help yesterday and here's what I got back this am:
"We will hold each other up and be strong.
Say your prayers and hold on to your key. "
Hope you have a blessed day, my dears!

Papa and Nonna kept me company Saturday
heart attack

Had two "Open Houses" this weekend....and also got to see some longtime friends. The only thing that I wanted to do that I didn't get to was to get to the movies...maybe sometime this week?
I have been feeling like I may have a heart attack the past week...just a slight tension in my chest....that isn't normal. I'm sure it's from the stress of juggling this and that. I hope to be feeling better this week.
I'm off to the gym....and hoping that my run helps me.
Here are some pics from lunch last week with Jessica and Efrain @ Wamu. If you are looking for a trustworthy and smart lender, look no further.
Jessica can be reached M-F at:

Also, here are some pics from a wine tasting that my friend, Stef and I were fortunate to attend last week, also. Red wine is good for your heart (not in too large of quantities, though, otherwise you'll get fat!), right?
We had a great table at wine tasting. Thank You for the fun last week, Stef, Beverly (the red head) and Jessica!!
